A process engineer interested in plant-based products and technologies.
I have been working with plants, vegetables, fruit herbs and edible flowers for almost twenty-five years. As a process engineer (TU Delft, Food4Innovations) I take out the phytochemicals so that we make healthy natural ingredients. I am also fascinated by the latest generation of meat substitutes. Meat eaters are now becoming flexitarians, and the taste and health of plant-based meats products are improving every year. Of course I also use our knowledge about preservation and food safety to make these products tasty as well as safe.
